Fire, stone and shadow
Ghosts are rare.
Those who can see them? Rarer. And those who bond with them? They rise to power - or crash hard. Depends on the Ghost. Viscious sits at the top - publicly a hero, a sponsor, a face for glossy campaigns. Privately? He's a puppeteer. A monster in a tailored suit. He hunts Ghost-bearers, breaks their minds, and destroys what made them special.
Jiro didn’t make it out. His Ghost -stone-bound, heavy with guilt - now belongs to Vine. Not out of courage. Just because there was no one else. Vine never wanted in. Now he’s in the thick of it. Running with Maverick, whose Ghost is a goddamn inferno. Caught between old wounds, half-told stories, and a city that looks the other way when the fire starts. Somewhere in the smoke: Alec’s bar. Vine’s often there. With Maverick.canon. No second takes.
Rival's Roar
8 years ago:
Beneath the lights of illegal street races, the asphalt melted into the night, roaring with the sound of his Shelby. Freedom tasted like gasoline, and between speed and death, there was usually just one corner cut too tight. R... had a name. - and Rowan had eyes on him. Especially his eyes - those of a man who looked like he could buy souls with a snap of his fingers. All venom and charm, like a serpent in human skin. And then there was the other one - a shadow made of smoke and engine growl, whose car howled like a demon.
